The Update is free for owners of the Atlas of the Human Brain (2nd
ed.)
- If you have already updated your Navigator to version 2.02 or
newer you don't need to
download 19 MB again for a full update. Just click here for for
a fast and easy upgrade.
- If you have the original atlas CD and never updated from this
site:
Please follow the instructions below for the full update:
Update instructions (full update):
Load the Updater (update206.jar,
about 19 MB) from this site and store it locally on your computer.
Make sure you have Java2 (J2SE 1.4) runtime properly installed.
Start the updater by doubleclicking on it or from the comandline
(enter: java -jar update.jar)
If everything's fine until now you'll get the following screen:
Follow the three steps indicated there:
(1) Insert your original Atlas-CD, click on 'Choose Original Folder'
and choose the drive letter of your CDROM.
(2) Click on 'Choose Target Folder' and choose or create a local
folder on your harddisk where you want to install the new
BrainNavigator.
(3) Click on 'Start'.
The Updater checks for a valid Atlas CDROM at the location you
entered in (1).
If one is found the update completes, if not an error message will
be displayed and you'll have to try again.
After having successfully completed the update you can start the new
BrainNavigator from the folder you entered in (2).
(Just doubleclick on its icon or enter: java -jar imageio.jar
on the comandline.)
For (free) online program updates/extension packages please use the
built-in Check-for-updates function from the Options menu of the
BrainNavigator.

The Java2 Runtime 1.4 or newer for various platforms can be downloaded free
